activeTV, producers of Woolworths Carols in the Domain, are pleased to have the support of the NSW Government who have come on board as a supporting sponsor of Australia's favourite Christmas event.
The NSW Government is pleased to be contributing to this much-loved festive celebration.
"Carols in the Domain is a fantastic family event which the NSW Government is proud to support. It's a tradition for many families and has showcased wonderful Australian talent over the years," said NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell.
"With the proceeds going to the Salvos, you could not get a better way to share in the Christmas spirit. I encourage people to get out and support this free event," added the Premier.
A host of our national stars will perform live to a crowd of 80,000 and more than a million watching at home via the Seven Network and throughout Asia on the Australian Network, spreading festive song and cheer across the country.
Among the impressive list of stars performing are Damien Leith, Brian McFadden, Jack Vidgen, Judith Durham, Hugh Sheridan, Shannon Noll and Amelia Farrugia.
This year, the kids will be entertained by celebrated children performers Justine Clarke, Toybox, Jay Laga'aia, Justice Crew, the Janice Breen Showgroup and of course the big man in the red suit, as well as the pre-show entertainment starting from 3pm.
In the true spirit of Christmas, the Woolworths Carols in the Domain Candlebags will be selling for $15 with the entire proceeds going to the Salvation Army's Oasis Youth Support Network, the Salvation Army's initiative to stop youth homelessness. Jammed packed with over a hundred dollars' worth of goodies, the Candlebags are an opportunity to brighten up Christmas for thousands of homeless youth around Australia.
Attendance at this fantastic alcohol-free, live event at the Domain is free of charge. Enjoy a fun-filled night for the whole family. Early arrival is recommended to secure a good position to watch the stars come out.
